Colin McGee is a Marine Corps veteran majoring in International Business with a minor in Marketing at FSU

Colin's internship with Fidelity Investments during the summer led to an offer for a full-time position after graduation.

I served active duty in the Marin Corps for four years, and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and deployed once. When looking at colleges, I chose FSU because my younger brother went here for environmental science and I liked that the University offered International Business. I love the campus at FSU and many of the professors. It feels extremely safe and community driven and the education I am receiving is worth every penny.

I have had countless hurdles on my way to earning my degree between family health issues and financial burdens, but I have people who are counting on me so I’ve worked hard and made it work. I was able to land an internship with Fidelity Investments the summer after my junior year at their world headquarters in Boston and was thrilled when they offered me a full-time position in a two-year rotational role, which fast tracks students into management roles.

I hope to travel as part of my work and would love to progress quickly within Fidelity or at any multinational corporation.
