Any student in Massachusetts may be eligible if they:
- Meet program requirements – priority given to low-income families, as defined by the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, and/or first-generation students
- Remain actively enrolled in high school
- Receive school/district approval
- Enroll in courses that count toward both high school and college credit
Students are eligible for CDEP funding if they:
- Have not earned a high school diploma or GED
- Are still enrolled in high school or a homeschool program recognized by the student’s home district
- Are considered low-income and/or first-generation, meaning their parents have NOT earned a college degree. To be considered low-income, you must meet one of the following three criteria:
- Identified as participating in state public assistance programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children, MassHealth, and foster care; or
- Certified as low income through the new supplemental data collection process, or
- Reported by a district as homeless.
- Priority given to students who DO NOT attend one of our Early College Rams partner schools (Framingham, Milford, Waltham) since they have access to Early College opportunities through that program.
Students in dual enrollment receive support with:
- Course selection
- Application guidance
- Academic check-ins during the semester
- Problem-solving and navigation support
- Academic Accommodations (when applicable) after review of appropriate documents with student and family
- Academic support, such as tutoring.
