Get Ram Ready for Spring 2026!

About January Orientation
We are excited to welcome all New and Transfer Students to FSU for their Spring 2026 Orientation! Get Ram Ready with our One Day Orientation before classes begin!
Orientation will be on Thursday January 15, 2026 (inclement weather date of Friday January 16th). Program details and specifics will be posted within the Fall 2025 Semester.
This orientation is required for our new and transfer students*.
*Any guests, or families looking for more info can find it through our Family Engagement Office.
What To Bring:
Please make sure to bring with you the required items to ensure a successful Orientation!
- A photo ID with your name and picture on it (this helps you get your Student ID)
- Your laptop/tablet for the Digital World Presentation
Know Before You Go:
Before coming to January Orientation, please ensure that your Enrollment Checklist, (found in your application portal) is complete.
Not able to complete everything beforehand? No worries, come to Orientation and we will help you there!

- Financial Aid: Can help with your FAFSA and loan paperwork to ensure you have everything in order!
- Student Accounts: Will hand out bills and collect payments to ensure you are in good standing before Spring move in or the first day of classes.
- Advising: All students should check their Enrollment Checklist on what to complete and who to meet with for Course Registration PRIOR to coming to Orientation.
- New Students will be advised by the Advising Center
- Transfer Students will meet with their Department Chairs.
- Health Services: Be sure to upload and complete the immunizations records in Medicat before Orientation!
Completing the Enrollment checklist before attending orientation will make your move in and/or first day of classes so much easier!
Additional Support
Offices that commonly work with new and transfer students:
- Information Technology Services (IT): Can help with Microsoft account, multi-factor authentication (MFA), wifi set up, and more.
- Center for Academic Support and Achievement: Can help with Academic success and disability advocacy services.
- Career Development: Can help you look for on or off campus work and get you career ready!
- Community Standards: Important to know the RAM Student Handbook in order to stay in good standing at the university.
- University Police: Understand campus safety protocol, Parking, the ID Office and more services that they provide to keep FSU safe!
