The Health Center - Foster Hall

Our dedicated team of nurse practitioners and consulting physician provide high quality medical care to all matriculated resident and commuter students during the academic year. We diagnose and treat many common health conditions, illnesses and injuries, perform point of care lab testing, order blood tests and x-rays, write prescriptions, and refer for specialty care when indicated. Appointments can be conveniently booked online, and same day or next day appointments are most often available. If you are experiencing a medical emergency while on campus, call University Police at 508-626-4911.  If you are not on campus, call 911.

After-Hours Care

Services Available

  • Diagnosis and treatment of illness and injuries
  • Sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment
  • Gynecological care including: routine gynecological exams, contraception counseling and prescription, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological infections (example: yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, etc.), UTI diagnosis and treatment, pregnancy testing and referrals
  • Sports physicals for athletes (must submit a prior physical from within the past 18 months)
  • Emergency contraception
  • Tuberculosis screening (lab order for QuantiFERON only; no skin testing available)
  • Care coordination and referrals
  • Prescriptions as indicated. Prescriptions will be filled at a local pharmacy
  • Medication consultation for uncomplicated depression and anxiety
  • Labs and radiology (not available onsite; students will be sent to Quest Diagnostics or MWMC; taxi vouchers available)
     

Services We Do Not Provide

  • Emergency services: If you are experiencing a medical emergency while on campus please call campus police at (508) 626-4911 or if you are off campus please dial 911.
  • The Health Center clinicians do not suture or staple open wounds or perform any type of incision.
  • The Health Center clinicians do not prescribe ADD/ADHD medications.
