Make a Real Difference in the Field of Nursing
Nursing is a growing profession that provides meaningful work, career growth opportunities, diverse specialty options, high earning potential, and job stability. At Framingham State, we offer an RN-BS undergraduate degree for licensed RNs who have an Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing. In addition, graduate programs leading to an MSN are available. Framingham State does not offer a four-year bachelor of nursing degree. As a graduate you will be prepared to address healthcare of diverse individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations through formal and informal teaching and learning processes.
Our Nursing programs have been developed to be flexible with the working professional nurse in mind. All classes are offered in a hybrid/blended learning format (combines online learning with traditional on-campus classroom experiences) that follow a traditional 15-week academic semester. The curricula are based on the premise that the baccalaureate and graduate levels of education in Nursing provide the foundation for active and collaborative life-long learning and foster a commitment to excellence. Our expert faculty members are invested in our students’ education and are committed to supporting them to obtain their professional goals.
Our state-of-the-art Simulation Lab creates realistic clinical environments which will offer you a safe space to apply and hone your skills. The lab includes multiple simulation education modalities including high to low-fidelity human patient mannequins, virtual reality, artificial intelligence (AI) for communication skills, and wearable simulation devices.
We have an affiliation with Newton-Wellesley Hospital and offer both undergraduate and graduate programs on-site for their employees.
The baccalaureate degree and master’s degree programs in nursing at Framingham State University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
