Many Students Walking

Who We Serve

Each year, we support high school students from Framingham, Milford, and Waltham. Our students come from many different cultural and language backgrounds, and we’re proud to be a program that reflects the diversity of our communities. Our students include those who:

  • Qualify for free or reduced lunch (73%)

Are the first in their family to attend college (68%)

Speak a language other than English at home (69%)

  • Are English learners (45%)

    Have an IEP (10%)

Our Core Values

At the CPC, we approach our work through a set of values that drives decisions about our focus, priorities, and practices. Those values are Equity, Empowerment, and Engagement.

Equity

We hold EQUITY at the forefront of our work, aware of the ongoing need to intentionally dismantle inequities by removing barriers for scholars and families so that future possibilities and potentials are expanded, not restricted.

Empowerment

We journey alongside scholars and families to EMPOWER them and ourselves to have the confidence and competence to embrace success and challenges as we move through the exploration of college and career pathways.

Engagement

We do this at three levels of ENGAGEMENT: Scholar, Family, and School/Community with the understanding that teamwork is required for success.

Support the MetroWest College Planning Collaborative

Help open doors to higher education for MetroWest students and families

The MetroWest College Planning Collaborative (MCPC), a partnership between Framingham State University and MassBay Community College, provides free, personalized college and career planning guidance to students and families throughout the region.

From first-generation students navigating the admissions process to adults returning to college, MCPC helps each individual take the next step toward a brighter future. Your support ensures that cost, language, or uncertainty are never barriers to education.

Your gift makes an immediate impact by:

  • Providing one-on-one advising to high school students and adult learners
  • Offering college and financial aid workshops in multiple languages
  • Expanding outreach to underrepresented and first-generation families
  • Supporting a seamless transition from community college to university

Together, we can make college dreams possible for every MetroWest learner.
