About the MetroWest College Planning Collaborative (CPC)
The MetroWest College Planning Collaborative (CPC) is here to help students and families in the MetroWest area prepare for and succeed in college. We were created in 2014 through a partnership between Framingham State University and MassBay Community College. The partnership was formed to enhance the shared goal of ensuring college access, readiness, and success for underrepresented residents of the MetroWest region of Massachusetts.
Our mission is simple: To provide outreach, training, mentoring, advising, and opportunities to underrepresented youth and adults and guide them on their desired college to career pathways and beyond.
CPC at NCAN
The CPC was proud to join the 2025 National College Attainment Network Conference in New Orleans, where our staff presented alongside national leaders.

The event brought together over 1,500 practitioners dedicated to advancing equity in postsecondary access and success.
Who We Serve
Each year, we support high school students from Framingham, Milford, and Waltham. Our students come from many different cultural and language backgrounds, and we’re proud to be a program that reflects the diversity of our communities. Our students include those who:
-
Qualify for free or reduced lunch (73%)
Are the first in their family to attend college (68%)
Speak a language other than English at home (69%)
-
Are English learners (45%)
Have an IEP (10%)
Our Core Values
At the CPC, we approach our work through a set of values that drives decisions about our focus, priorities, and practices. Those values are Equity, Empowerment, and Engagement.
Equity
We hold EQUITY at the forefront of our work, aware of the ongoing need to intentionally dismantle inequities by removing barriers for scholars and families so that future possibilities and potentials are expanded, not restricted.
Empowerment
We journey alongside scholars and families to EMPOWER them and ourselves to have the confidence and competence to embrace success and challenges as we move through the exploration of college and career pathways.
Engagement
We do this at three levels of ENGAGEMENT: Scholar, Family, and School/Community with the understanding that teamwork is required for success.
