Transfer Students FAQ
We recommend applying before our priority filing deadlines; March 15th for fall entry, December 1st for spring entry. You can apply with courses still in progress, so we recommend getting all application documents submitted during your final semester at your last institution, if applicable.
Once admitted to FSU, you will receive a course-by-course transfer credit evaluation which outlines how your courses will transfer in. This will include any work currently in progress.
Please visit our website to review the cost of attendance at FSU.
You will work with an Admissions Counselor throughout the enrollment process. For advising and course registration, students will work directly with the Chair of their academic department.
Please refer to our Academic Advising Center Major Worksheets to review program curriculums.
In order to be reviewed for transfer credit, students are required to submit individual transcripts from each college/university attended. Transcripts must be official from each school sent directly to FSU Admissions. We do not accept transcripts from students.
No, you have the option to be a commuter student or on-campus resident student.
On-campus resident students are required to purchase a meal plan. If you are not living on campus, you can purchase a commuter meal plan. Please note all dining locations on campus accept cash/credit card.
Yes, both commuter students and on-campus resident students must obtain a parking permit through the University Police Office.
