Our Mission

As an office within Student Development at Framingham State University, the Dean of Students Office strives to:

-Create a culture of care for students, their families, faculty, and staff.

-Promote student development and enhances the Framingham State University student experience  through intentional intervention and guidance, programs, services, partnerships/connections,  crisis intervention, and policy development.

-Foster an inclusive campus climate and facilitates the successful navigation of campus life.

-Provide education, advocacy, and support to encourage and empower all students to achieve  success in their academic, social, and personal development.

Student-Focused Offices and Services:

Student Involvement, Leadership Development (SILD) and Career Services & Employer Relations (CSER) provide opportunities to inspire students to contribute and participate in social, cultural and educational opportunities outside the classroom.

Located on the first floor of West Hall

In order to support an environment of inclusive excellence and care for our community at Framingham State University, the Rams Resource Center (RRC) provides non-perishable food items, toiletries, and resource referral for FSU students, faculty, and staff. This effort will provide critical nutrition and hygiene resources to ensure that all members of our community are able to thrive by supporting our commitment to promote equity, pursue social justice, and make excellence inclusive. Donation bins are located on campus in the Dean of Students Office (McCarthy Center, 5th Floor), Office of Enrollment and Student Development (Dwight Hall, Room 306), the Game Room (McCarthy Center, 3rd Floor), the Snack Bar (McCarthy Center, 2nd Floor) and the Office of Veterans Services (Crocker hall, Annex).

Student Development

New Student and Family Programs, Community Standards, Campus Ministries offer all students programs and settings in which to gain informative, civic and individual knowledge while studying and living on campus.

We are here to answer your questions about Orientation, Placement Testing, your FSU Foundations course, and so much more that relates to your first-year of college.

Residence Life and Housing, Health Services, Counseling Services, Veterans Services are specialized on-site services which develop a student’s overall experience while on campus.

The Health and Wellness Center provides education and resources to the FSU community about the importance of making healthy choices and encourages students to see the connection between their lifestyle choices and their successes.

Student Support Initiatives

If you need help, either financially, academically, or medically. It's important for students to contact the Dean of Students Office, or a staff person, to discuss your situation so corrective action can be taken as soon as possible.  These on-campus offices are here to help:  Single Point of Contact for Food, Housing and Financial Insecurity, Commuter Student Support, Financial Literacy, Title IX, and Crisis Management.
