- Roles
The Student Transportation Center (STC) coordinates and operates fixed route shuttle bus service during the academic year, including holidays (except during semester breaks). Visit our transportation services page for more information about our fixed shuttle routes for parking lot service and RAM TRAM.
STC Desk/Dispatch
The STC desk/dispatch is located at the main entry of the McCarthy Center. Visitors and FSU community members may find information about, local transportation, and STC shuttle services. The STC desk is staffed by student transportation dispatchers who are trained to be knowledgeable and friendly to all visitors.
General Safety
Riders can help maintain safety by following these rules:
- Be seated as soon as possible
- Federal regulations require all passengers are behind the white line before the bus may depart
- Do not smoke on the bus
- Do not push people when you enter or exit the bus
- Do not impede the driver from closing the doors of the bus at any time or for any reason
Drivers will enforce all regulations. Service will be refused to anyone who does not comply with regulations or whose behavior is disruptive or hazardous to passenger and vehicle safety.
Inclement Weather
In the event of severe weather conditions or other emergency situations, notice of delayed openings or cancellation of classes will be broadcast on radio station WBZ-1030 AM and WBZ-TV Channel 4. Announcements will be made beginning at 6:00 a.m. You may also call (508) 626-4898 for a recorded weather message. Please do not call University Police.
Parking lot and RAM TRAM shuttle service will continue operations during inclement weather, provided conditions allow. Please be prepared for delays, detours, or (in the event of severe conditions) potential service cancellations. Conditions will be monitored during the event, and service updates will be available by contacting the STC Dispatch Desk at 508-215-5920.
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to register or update contact information, via myFramingham, for the University's emergency notification system. This system will be used for emergencies only, including school closings due to inclement weather, public safety warnings, etc. Please go to the emergency notification channel found on the main page within myFramingham.
Medical Parking
Limited medical parking is available for students in the Maple commuter lot. For details regarding the policy on medical parking, students may review the Framingham State Police Department's Parking Rules and Regulations.
