An organization dedicated to helping current and aspiring Human Resources professionals has ranked Framingham State’s Master of Human Resources (MHR) Program as having the top value in Massachusetts.

The new ranking comes from the site www.humanresourcesedu.org, which weighed both quality and affordability when determining its value rankings. Framingham State’s program scored high marks for quality because the curriculum is aligned with guidelines set by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The program was also cited for its affordability.

“Alongside its exceptional educational quality, this university is consistently recognized as offering the best value in New England,” the web site states. “It also boasts a low student-to-faculty ratio of just 14:1, with nearly three-quarters of all classes consisting of less than 20 students. With the SHRM-aligned curriculum, graduates who meet the experience requirements can be sure they’ll not only be eligible for the SHRM-CP exam, but ready to ace it.”

Efforts to fully align FSU’s curriculum with the recommended requirements of SHRM were completed in 2017 under the direction of Program Coordinator Dr. Robert Awkward.

“The Society for Human Resource Management is the gold standard for HR programs,” Awkward says.

In addition to the MHR program, Framingham State also offers a Graduate Certificate in HR Management.
