Mission
The Curriculum Library prepares educators for learning and teaching in the dynamic world of the 21st Century. The collection supports active, collaborative learning, and provides materials, resources and technology for lesson planning, teaching, and scholarship. Collection policies are based on FSU Department of Education curriculum and the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework, incorporating the Common Core State Standards.

The Collection
The Curriculum Library provides resources and services to FSU faculty and students, with a particular focus on the Education Department. The Ella C. Ritchie Curriculum Library, founded in 1970, was a progressive innovation. The collection includes instructional materials for curriculum planning, lesson preparation, unit development, and assessment. Materials include juvenile and young adult literature books, textbooks, activity and idea books, curriculum guides, instructional manipulatives, content area games, audiovisual materials, educational technology, and reference materials for grades K-12.

Selected Online Resources for Teaching and Learning

Some of the best resources you'll find for teaching and learning are the Subject Guides (or LibGuides) created by the Whittemore Librarians. These are particularly useful for studies in Education:

All materials in the Curriculum Library Collection are listed in the online catalog. Call numbers will indicate Children's or Curriculum. To search specifically for materials in the Curriculum Library, conduct an advanced search using Framingham State Children's as the collection; this will produce only Curriculum Library items.
