Frequently Ask Questions

Any student in Massachusetts may be eligible if they:

  • Meet program requirements – priority given to low-income families and/or first-generation students
  • Remain actively enrolled in high school 
  • Receive school/district approval 
  • Enroll in courses that count toward both high school and college credit 

Students are not eligible for CDEP funding if they:

  • Have already graduated high school 
  • Have earned a GED 
  • Are no longer enrolled in a high school (unless approved through a homeschooling process recognized by the district) 
  • CDEP funding is only available while students remain eligible for dual enrollment under state guidelines. 

Students in dual enrollment receive support with:

  • Course selection 
  • Application guidance 
  • Academic check-ins during the semester 
  • Problem-solving and navigation support
