Entrance into the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) is by application only. Applications are accepted in the spring semester for entrance the following fall. You must be matriculated as either an undergraduate or graduate student to apply to the CPD. Click here to access the CPD Policy and Procedure Student Handbook.
Before applying to the Coordinated Program in Dietetics you must:
Prior to being accepted into the CPD program, a 200-hour or more work experience in the field is required. This experience requires prior approval from the Director of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. The work experience must have been completed within five years prior to application. A supervisor in this work experience must provide a reference as part of your application.

Admission into the program is competitive and we accept up to a maximum of 24 students each year. The CPD Student Selection Committee reviews all applications. In addition to the minimum eligibility criteria above extracurricular activities, service, honors, and potential contribution to the field of nutrition and dietetics may be taken into consideration. Applicants must also be able to meet the technical standards required to complete the program. The FSU CPD is committed to providing equal opportunities for all students who can satisfy academic and performative requirements, including the technical standards described herein of the CPD.
Students who clearly meet the qualifications are notified of acceptance before registration for the fall semester. The Selection Committee re-evaluates other applications the first week of August after prerequisite course grades from spring and summer courses and/or work references are available.
