Framingham State University has been a part of my life ever since I was little. Between the multiple field trips to the McAuliffe Center and the stories I heard about campus from my family members who graduated from Framingham State, I have always felt a connection. It was not until I stepped foot in May Hall for my first semester of freshmen year that I realized I had made one of the best choices of my life.

Attending Framingham State has given me so many different opportunities that I might not have had if I had chosen a different school. I currently serve as the Opinion's Editor on the University's award-winning independent newspaper, The Gatepost. My involvement in The Gatepost not only has given me life long friends but introduced me to my second major, English, a major that I had never considered but have fallen in love with. My involvement in the Student Government Association and serving as Framingham State's Student Trustee has allowed me to be an advocate for the student body and has taught me the importance of being a student leader who strives to see campus be an even better place. I hope to one day attend law school and through my work on the Student Government Association, I have a passion for educational law.

One of the things I value most at Framingham State is the passionate and devoted faculty members. My professors for my two majors, history and English, have pushed me and guided me to the path of success and without them, I would not have been able to accomplish as much as I have. Framingham State is lucky to have faculty members who take time to build relationships with their students and work with them on their goals.

On campus, I also work as a Peer Mentor in one of the First-Year Foundations seminar courses and in the Student Involvement and Development Office as one of the Student Coordinator of Events.

Framingham State is more than just just where I go to school, it is where I know I can accomplish anything and my second home.
