Major and Minor Resources

Choosing a major is a deliberate process and a challenge for some students. "Getting the general education courses out of the way" is not the same as choosing a major. The links above and on the left, coupled with the assistance of the friendly advisors at the Advising Center, will help students choose the major and minor that is best for them.

Adding a minor, typically five courses, allows students to complement their major, explore new areas of interest and enhance their marketability.

Students are asked to come to the Advising Center, located in O'Connor Hall Room 111, to arrange appointments. Dr. Chris Gregory, Associate Dean of Academic Enhancement for Academic Counseling, encourages e-mail inquiries regarding advising. You may e-mail Dr. Gregory, or Veronica LaPlante, Academic Advisors, at advising@framingham.edu.

For further questions please visit the Advising Center, which is located in O'Connor Hall Room 111, or call us at (508) 626-4540.
