Teaching with Technology

There is more than one approach to teaching your course. Framingham State University supports several methods and related technologies for teaching, whether online, remote, face-to-face or combined modalities. Reference the links on this page to access resources, leverage technologies to engage students in your classrooms, and learn new pedagogical approaches.

Classroom Equipment Training

Many classrooms and meeting spaces across campus have been equipped with audio/visual projection systems. All classrooms have an HDMI connection to connect your laptop to the projector or TV displays. If you have a guest speaker coming in and requires a laptop loan, please contact the TRC for loan support (24 hour advanced notice is requested).

Want to learn how to hook your laptop up to the projection system or use the equipment in the media classrooms? View this guide here to learn more about the classroom technology.

Printing and Copying Services

Most departments have their own printers or share with other departments on their floor. Every employee should have access to a black and white printer, a color printer and a copy machine located near their office.

Each building on campus has a copier for faculty and staff to use in a centrally located area. All copy machines are networked so faculty and staff can print to them and many have a fax card built into them to send or receive faxes. For larger print jobs, FSU's Print Services department is available for faculty and staff only. Find more information about Print Services here.

More information about printing can be found through our Service Catalog here.
