Please see below for important information if you need help, either financially, academically, or medically. Don't hesitate to stop in or call to make an appointment.
Crisis Assistance
University students sometimes face personal crises that threaten the continuation of studies. Such emergencies can be personal, medical, or financial in nature. The student should always make contact with the appropriate support service on campus (for example, psychological counseling, health services, financial aid). However, as soon as possible students should also inform the Dean of Students of the crisis, especially if academic success is jeopardized by circumstances. This connection forms the basis for special consideration if warranted. Dean's Office personnel can also advise students in coping with a crisis and can refer them to the appropriate support services if needed. The important thing for students to remember is to come forward -- we cannot help if we do not know that you need assistance.

RRC - Rams Resource Center
In order to support an environment of inclusive excellence and care for our community at Framingham State University, the Rams Resource Center (RRC) provides non-perishable food items, toiletries, and resource referral for FSU students, faculty, and staff. This effort will provide critical nutrition and hygiene resources to ensure that all members of our community are able to thrive by supporting our commitment to promote equity, pursue social justice, and make excellence inclusive.
Fall 2019 hours will be posted soon. The RRC is located on campus in West Hall room 106. For more information, contact Kay Kastner, Coordinator of Student Support Initiatives, located in the Dean of Students Office, 504 McCarthy Center, Phone: 508.626.4596 |Fax: 508.626.4087 |Email: kkastner@framingham.edu
Housing and Food Assistance
Local Housing and Food Assistance Resources
At Framingham State University, we recognize that student success and well-being are impacted by challenges and stressors that often occur outside of the classroom. To support students who are facing temporary or chronic homelessness and/or difficulty affording food, we have established a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) staff person to assist students with navigating campus and local resources. If you or someone you know needs help, please contact Kay Kastner at 508-626-4596, kkastner@framingham.edu, or stop by the Dean of Students Office. The Dean of Students Office is located on the 5th floor of the McCarthy Center in suite 504.
Task Force for Supporting Students with Food and Housing Needs
The Task Force is a collaborative, cross-campus effort focused on assisting students who are facing temporary or chronic homelessness and/or difficulty affording food. We strive to better understand the housing and food needs of our students, provide students with access to resources both on and off campus, and engage the FSU community in campus-wide initiatives to support students with housing and food needs.
