Study Abroad - Getting Started

Where Will Your Education Take You?

Welcome to a world of opportunities.

Join the nearly 200 FSU students who studied abroad last year. Their programs lasted from a week to a full academic year. You’ll gain new friends, have experiences you can’t have in Framingham, and gain new perspectives on your major and your career.

Studying abroad helps you define your goals and focuses your attention. It’s also a great career boost, as employers are looking for recent grads who have leadership skills and experience working with people from other cultures.

If you have not already browsed our Programs list and our Spotlight Program options, you can begin there, by narrowing down options of where and when you want to go. You will receive this Study Abroad Guideline at your first study abroad advising appointment, but take a peek now! Or take a look at the Pre-Departure Handbook if you have already decided to go abroad.
