  • Tau Sigma

Tau Sigma is a National Honor Society for transfer students, which honors high academic achievement and involvement in the first semester at Framingham State.

The purpose of the organization, as stated in the mission, is to encourage superior academic achievement among students who have transferred from one institution of higher education another, to promote transfer student involvement on campus, and to serve as a primary resource for transfer students on college campuses nationwide.

  • Tau Sigma Eligibility

Eligible candidates must attain a 3.5 GPA or higher in their first semester as full-time FSU students. The Tau Sigma induction ceremony occurs in the Spring semester at FSU.

  • Framingham State Chapter of Tau Sigma

Each institution that participates in Tau Sigma has their own chapter. At Framingham State, we are the Delta Rho chapter of Tau Sigma. Our organization focuses on transfer student programming and serving the FSU community.

Membership is for life and has numerous benefits, including recognition of your academic achievement, the potential for financial scholarships and fellowships from the national organization, and the opportunity to wear Tau Sigma senior honor cords at graduation.
