  • Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD)

Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) is a national society for first-year students, which honors high academic achievement in the first year of college.  The purpose of the organization is to encourage superior academic achievement among students in their first year at Framingham State, to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.

  • ALD Eligibility

Students who enter Framingham State as first-year students are eligible after their first and second semesters if they earn a 3.5 or higher grade point average. The annual initiation ceremony takes place in the spring semester and recognizes those who are eligible and have accepted the invitation to join the honor society.

  • Framingham State Chapter of ALD

The Framingham State chapter of ALD has elected student officers who coordinate three yearly events that are required of the organization. Past events have included tutoring, donating school supplies to local area elementary schools, and volunteering at retirement communities. Membership is for life and has numerous benefits, including recognition of your academic achievement, the potential for financial scholarships and fellowships from the national organization, and the opportunity to wear Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Honor Cords at graduation.
